Our Goal:
To better serve the population by strategically locating showrooms near major cities. This will reduce turn around time and cost for shipping, and also allow our customers to view our products in a traditional retail environment.

FAQ:

LanLabs is known for low pricing, won't this raise the cost of the PCs?
NO! As a matter of fact it will reduce costs thanks to our famous "bang for the buck" mentality. We have seen traditional retail models fail with mega-stores, so we decided to wait a few years after the closing of our New York City based mega-store until the timing was right to launch our new plan. We have strategically located this new store (as we will the others) to surround large cities and center the largest population, but keep the locations on smaller streets, in smaller villages, to reduce costs. We allocated the funds for this endeavor out of our marketing budget. These stores are advertisements! Due to current dominance by certain proprietary builders that like to drive up the cost of advertising, these stores will not only allow us to serve our customers better and faster, but will actually reduce our advertising, shipping and build costs.

How many stores will you open?
Right now we can justify one in NY, FLA, Texas and California. "Justify", meaning these stores will lower overall operating expenses and reduce costs. However, as we grow, we will have different shipping and storage needs. These needs will cause us to open a centrally located warehouse and distribution center, which should allow for a central retail location in the next 2-4 years.

Four or five stores will hardly service all of the United States. As an online customer, how does it affect me?
We choose to offer free shipping on all repair, upgrade and warranty work because we want to offer a superior product. But it is still a cost, and ultimately we are still a "for profit" business. These stores will reduce that cost by over 70%, not to mention, reduce turn around time of the service by close to 50%. This means more money to offer more services, hire and train more staff (as some of you may know, we are VERY overworked) and reduce pricing even further. We believe traditional brick and mortar retail of competitive products has to adapt to the evolution of the internet. In recent years we have seen mega-stores run scams to drive up prices and still have to close stores, and this is allowing online stores opportunities to do the same. Its time for a more stable, and more modern, retail model.

We have seen the proprietary builders copy you before, are you afraid they will again?
We hope they do. L2 has never been afraid of a fight! They have tried to run us out before, and I am sure they will again. Online, our products are just another picture and text. We have our reputation and some kind words from our customers to help us, but overall our quality and performance cannot be shown on a website. Imagining a proprietary build on the shelf next to one of our machines is just a joke unless they completely revamp their wasteful, expensive, prehistoric corporate model, and design some new machines WHILE reducing their over-inflated profit margin - we cannot consider them competition. We see them as a blockade we have to find a way around, until the day comes when we can afford a battering ram.

Will L2 ever offer a franchise opportunity?
This has been talked about a lot. We honestly don't know how to do it without standardizing our products, quotes and corporate structure. What makes LanLabs work so well is our corporate structure. Sales is the highest position in the company, as opposed to traditional models where your sales staff is only one small step up from "box boy". Allowing someone to own a franchise would basically make them a partner in the company, and would have to be trained and educated as such. Every salesperson at L2 has business experience, sales experience and a special kind of thinking we call "STBT" (screw the box thinking). We don't believe thinking "outside the box" is enough. We think the proverbial box is part of the problem.
