Custom PC Computer Quotes from LanLabs

Primary use of your custom PC:
This can be a program, a lifestyle (example: "Audio Engineer, Gamer") or as simple as "Home PC".

Will this be the sole use of your custom PC:

For example: I have both a work and a "play" PC. My answer to "Primary use of the PC" would be "Microsoft Office and Photoshop" and my answer to "Will this be the sole use of the computer" would be "Yes". My work PC is perfectly capable of going online and doing other basic functions, but was built to be a work PC and the primary programs I work with are Microsoft Office and Photoshop.

Just because you select "Yes" here, does not mean the PC will not be able to do other functions, we will just choose components that score well on the chosen task.

Secondary use of the PC:

Again, leaving this blank does not mean you cannot do this task, it just means its not a priority.

Unless a special order project, budget must be $800+, as we feel anything lower is covered by our standard models.
Budget:

Does this PC quote include a monitor:

Does this PC quote include an Operating System:

Does this PC quote include any Anti Virus Software:

Does this PC quote include anything else:

Software, printer, networking, file server, NAS, etc...

What type of programs do you use daily?:

You can leave this blank. This is more for budget minded PCs. If you were to strip a PC of all its multitasking abilities, and build a computer for a single purpose it would be able to run powerful programs for a staggeringly low price.

Contact your sales rep for information and detail on this, especially if you are a small business owner.

Answer the following on a scale of 1-5, 5 being the most important, 1 being the least important feature on the PC.
Please be aware, we will take your selections on here VERY literally.
Pay careful attention to the questions asking for a 1-5 answer when building your custom PC.

1 = Dont care
2 = Not at the top of my list
3 = Normal
4 = Important feature
5 = I want the computer to pretty much revolve around this.

Note: 5's are generally reserved for high budget, or extremely specialized custom PCs. In most cases we will have to reduce the overall performance of a PC to build for a 5.

How important is upgrading your custom PC:

1 - I will never upgrade this PC. Most L2 computers are upgradable anyway AND we upgrade you for free! (See warranty coverage for more details)
2 - I may update core components at the next technology hurdle (when prices drop) to extend the life of the PC.
3 - I will be updating core components at least once and expanding on current build as budget allows.
4 - This PC is just for now, I plan to upgrade core components as soon as the price drops on the latest stuff. (May reduce performance depending on budget allowed)
5 - I want to upgrade this PC until it can't physically run anymore. I want the height of technology motherboard, case and PSU. (Will reduce performance on most budgets)

How important is a quiet PC:
1 - Let the fans blow!
2 - This is a normal multi-fan PC. Its loud enough that you notice when you turn it off.
3 - This is a high quality multi-fan PC. It is noticeable, but not annoyingly loud.
4 - This PC will exchange all available fans with silent fans, remove any unneeded fans and replace them with silent cooling options and/or water cooling. Goal would be 20db's, about as loud as a very quiet room. This PC would be barely noticeable unless you put your ear near it. (Will reduce performance on most budgets).
5 - This PC will be as silent as technology will allow... (This is a VERY high dollar item).

How important is the physical look of your custom PC (case/monitor):
1 - Cases are generally not designed to be ugly, but who cares anyway. I want performance for my dollar! I don't care if it's some puke brown thing with the paint washing off, as long as it works!
2 - Ok, not the puke brown thing with the chipped paint, but otherwise I'm ok.
3 - Decent name brand case, not to flashy. Don't need the windows and the lights etc.. Just simple and nice.
4 - Nice case with windows, lights, fan controllers etc.. I want people to see my case.
5 - Go nuts. (This is a high dollar item)

How much Hard Drive (storage) space is needed in your custom PC:
1 - Industry minimum is enough.
2 - Jump me to the best "bang for the buck" hard drive over minimum.
3 - Industry average. This is good for minor downloading and/or a nice software library.
4 - Jump me to the best "bang for the buck" hard drive over average. Good for heavy downloading and and/or a nice software library.
5 - Biggest hard drive you can fit into my budget. (Please explain how big in the "Anything else we need to know" box at the bottom).

How big is your custom PC:

Do you plan to overclock your custom PC:
If "Yes" please explain in the box near the bottom titled “Anything else we need to know” what you plan to do.
Are you looking for a PC built for overclocking or are you just going to step it up a little bit to save money and time on upgrading?

Do you want an extended warranty:
